Matter of Act (Switzerland & Morocco)

Association created in March 2013 by Aniko Boehler (anthropologist, director – founder of Morocco Experience and Projects), Thomas Allement (environmental engineer and former employee of Summit Foundation) and Sébastien Dufner (biologist and former employee of Summit Foundation) with the aim of officially federating  the project ” Mountain Propre “; and to export it anywhere else in Morocco and in other countries meeting similar problems.

La Kasbah du Toubkal

Kasbah du Toubkal-01

Located at the foot of the highest summit of North Africa, La Kasbah du Toubkal received numerous prizes and distinctions for its warm welcome and its sustainable and responsible management. It is a partner in numerous local projects of development aid and is until today the main logistic and financial support of the Mountain Propre project.

Association Les Bassins d’Imlil

Local association working for the development of villages located in the valley of Mizane, High Atlas, Imlil and these regions. Among the main spheres of action: the environment, the health, the infrastructures, the education and the agriculture. Main local partner of the project Mountain Propre since its creation, the Association Les Bassins d’Imlil evaluates the feasibility of the various projects and take care of the good application of the measures jointly decided.

Summit Foundation

Logo_SF_pos_eti_2012Created in 2001 by Laurent Thurnheer, Summit Foundation is a Swiss association active in the waste management in mountain area, the environmental supervision of sports and cultural events and the raising awareness of public. Contacted in 2011 by Aniko Boehler, Summit Foundation supported the project by its expertise and the production of several studies in the valley of Imlil.

Mawarid

Mawarid-01

Young association of Marrakesh managed by Yassine Zegzouti, its purpose is to improve the environmental situation in Morocco by concrete actions of raising awareness. Among the most mediatic realizations there is in particular the national campaign ” Morocco without plastic bag “, and ” L’écolo Bike Ride ” in Marrakesh. Mawarid association brings to the Mountain Propre project a dynamic relay with the populations, a local expertise, as well as the implication of young Moroccan within the project.

Mar-Eco Recyclage

Mar-Eco

Society based in Marrakesh and active in the sorting and the valorisation of waste in Morocco. Main logistic partner of the project Mountain Propre, it gives a big part of the material and equipment necessary for the waste collection and act in the rubbish sorting and valorisation.

Discover Limited

UK society acting in international tourism since 1978, it proposes educational visits in Morocco, custom-made expeditions for trekkeurs and stays in La Kasbah du Toubkal. Discover Limited also supports the Mountain Propre project and participates in its financing.

ESAV de Marrakech

ESAV-01

L’Ecole Supérieure des Arts Visuels de Marrakech forms for jobs in the cinema, in the television and in the visual communication. Open on the international stage it embodies a will and a spirit of cultural and social mixing and operates this policy. Several participative workshops were already set up within the framework of the Mountain Propre project, and the future possibilities of collaboration are numerous and varied.

The Donkey Sanctuary


The Donkey Sanctuary was founded in 1969 by Dr Elisabeth Svendsen. Its mission is to transform the quality of life for donkeys, mules and people worldwide through greater understanding, collaboration and support, and by promoting lasting, mutually life-enhancing relationships.
